Thanksgiving Dinner at Golden Corral (OGEL)

Staying in town for the Thanksgiving holiday break? We're thrilled to be able to offer you a traditional Thanksgiving dinner away from home! The Office of Graduate Education and Life will pay the cost of one meal per student registration; our office will only accept one registration per student. Note that seats are limited and will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis. Friends and/or family members are welcome to attend this event, but will have to pay for their own meal (students’ guests do not need to register for this event). All registered graduate students must present their WVU student ID, State ID, or passport to the Golden Corral restaurant staff for accounting purposes. Please make sure to register for this dinner.

Writing a Diversity Statement Workshop (OGEL)

3-Minute Thesis (3MT)

The 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) is an academic research communication competition for graduate research students. This competition challenges students to present their research topic and its significance in three minutes and using just one slide. Winners receive a cash prize of up to $1000. The deadline for video submissions to the 2020 competition is February 5 at 11:59 p.m. Check out the website for more info

Carruth Center is offering a therapy group for students who: find themselves to be one of a few (e.g. as international students, or women of color, or other identities), seek to develop resilience and positive coping with life’s adjustments, wish to find their voice or sense of self at WVU or home communities. want to increase their sense of belonging or meaningful connection.
A pre-group individual meeting is required: If interested, or wondering if the group is for you, please stop in or call (304-293-4431) the Carruth Center for Psychological and Psychiatric Services.
